Oh yes, my friends. That’s the vision of a dad taking interest in crafting! My family decided to join me on a spontaneous visit to London, so I dragged them to Crafty Pint in Tooting. Of course, it didn’t take much to get my mum interested. We made some brooches together…
I also split off to do my pre-booked Christmas Card Printing workshop. What can I tell ya? It’s messy!
Eventually, I got there…
Yes, I ‘designed’ and cut out lino prints my very own self. Get me!
There was fantastic entertainment:
But my favourite moment was when a mum came over with her 8-year-old son and asked if they could join us for some sewing. ‘He’s a bit overwhelmed by it all. We just want a quiet corner.’ Yes, my darling, you can come and sew with me!

can i come sew with you?
How sweet! Your Dad and mom and then the little boy and his mom. Nice.
Looks like a good time was had by all. I hope I can make next year’s event as I’d already booked to go to the rugby yesterday. Thanks for sharing.
Now that’s what I call a wonderful crafting party! And for all generations. That’s what it’s all about. Love it.
Ps, when I saw your first card I though the HC was a ‘HO’ and the first picture of it backwards therefore said ‘OH’ which made me chuckle, imagining that ‘ oh ‘ could have been uttered when you pulled the Lino away to reveal it. I’m easily amused
It should totally have been ‘HO’! Why didn’t I think of that? Instead, I have what looks like a corporate card for HarperCollins.
Sell it to them!
Looks like a fab day.
At first glance I also thought it said HO, and it made me snort! What a lovely event, your parents look like loads of fun – and you look so much like your Dad too.
How wonderful that you were, and are, able to share such fun times with your parents. Looks like a fabulous time was had by all.
What a great event! You know it’s good when your parents attend (and participate!)
How fun and festive! It’s hard to feel festive here when it is almost 40 degrees
Lovely to see you! And the cards look brilliant. Sorry I didn’t get a chance to say hello properly, it was so busy! But glad you all had a nice time, and found the secret brooch making tables. I wanted them to be a quiet making area, so pleased the little boy and his mum found them. Thanks for all your support.
What a marvelous place!! I love the photo of your dad crafting
Your folks are so cute!!! xxx
