I’d like this blog to tell a story – the story of what I sew and knit. My other life as a writer and editor is full of stories and it’s taught me that we all love a beginning, a middle, and an end. The end is really important – we always want it to be Happy Ever After, but sewing and knitting have both given me their own lessons. Sometimes the Happy Ever After is elusive. Sometimes That Will Do is the best we can hope for. And that’s okay, because the final lesson of crafting is that none of us are perfect – particularly when we’re brandishing bamboo knitting needles or swearing at a sewing machine.
I won’t be the only person contributing to this blog. We’ll be creating it together. And when more than one person contributes to a story, the possibilities are endless…
